Slovenian student wins the first International Artificial Intelligence Olympiad, 8-12 September 2024 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia
Slovenian student Brest Lenarčič won a gold medal at the first International Artificial Intelligence Olympiad for Secondary School Students (IAIO 2024), which took place from 8 to 12 September 2024 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The event was organised by the UNESCO International Research Centre for Artificial Intelligence (IRCAI), Slovenia, together with the International Centre for Research and Ethics in Artificial Intelligence, Riyadh. The competition was attended by 90 students from 25 countries, including another Slovenian representative, Žan Pustoslemšek, who won a bronze medal.
