Workshop: Our Bees

Bees are crucial to our ecosystem and extremely important for pollinating plants. In Slovenia, where we have a rich tradition of beekeeping, it is essential to introduce children to the world of bees and teach them how they can contribute to the preservation of nature.

Therefore, we invite you to register your children for the OUR BEE workshop, which is conducted using the STEAM method.

At the workshop, together with the children, we will find a solution on how we can help our meadows to bloom again. We will make flower bombs, get to know the wood bee and build a home for it and solitary bees. We will work with various hand drills and find out why bees make honeycomb in a hive in the shape of hexagons. We will also be as diligent as bees in the workshop. This way, our gardens can be decorated with a real little bee hotel, and flowers from our planting bombs will bloom under it.

This event post is (co)financed as part of the science popularization activities within the TPC–SCIENCE PLATFORM - financially supported by the Public Agency for Scientific Research and Innovation of the Republic of Slovenia (ARIS).
