Interactive workshop BIOMECHANICS OF BODY POSTURE

and

Science show for children THE ROBOT TEA STAND UP UP STAND UP

The purpose of the interactive workshop Biomechanics of body posture and the scientific performance Robotka Tea is holding upright posture is to research, find practical answers and biomechanical laws of upright posture with the goal of assuming one's own responsibility for establishing and maintaining only this. At the same time, the participants practically test and learn how body posture directly affects health, psychophysical well-being and, consequently, mental and work productivity.

PART 1: interactive workshop: BIOMECHANICS OF BODY POSTURE

Duration: 45 min
Implementation method: interactive workshop

The workshop is intended for employees in educational institutions (educators, pedagogic workers, professionals), parents, all interested adults, students III. triad to elementary school students, students. The workshop can also be perfectly integrated into health promotion activities at the workplace or team building activities. The workshop is particularly recommended and suitable for educators and pedagogic workers, as these are professions that require good psychophysical well-being, monitoring and guiding the child's development on a social, cognitive, emotional and physical level, where one's own example is also very important.

In the workshop with active learning methods, we explore the basics of functional body posture based on the biomechanical laws of the spine, pelvis and legs. We learn the meaning and method of self-control and conscious correction of upright posture. We practically assess body posture with the help of a center of gravity. We put our body in a good upright position with the help of a weight pad while sitting and standing. We practically test and feel the influence of the position of our body on our psychological well-being.

Maintaining good posture should be the foundation of health management for all of us, from childhood onwards. Today's lifestyle is slipping far away from the evolutionary adaptations of man, and no one can stand upright for us.

PART 2: science show ROBOT TEA STAND UP UP STAND UP

Robotek Teo wonders: "WHAT IS SOMEONE HOLDING ME UP SO I DON'T LOOK LIKE AN OVERCOOKED MACARONI?"

Duration: 40 min

Implementation method: a conversation between the humanoid robot, children and the guide

The performance takes place as a conversation between the children, the guide and the humanoid robot Teo, where the children actively learn about and explore the functional upright posture, its principle and meaning.

The science performance is intended for kindergarten children of the second age period (5-6 years) and students of I. and II. elementary school triads. Nevertheless, educators, pedagogues, pedagogic workers, parents and older brothers and sisters are also invited to it. In this way, the educational outcome of the acquired knowledge will be greater for the children. You will be able to support the children to transfer the acquired learning experience to everyday life or to the learning process. The solid foundations of a healthy lifestyle and the conscious maintenance of an upright posture begin to develop in early childhood and are carried over into adulthood. As a help for independent work, we have given you access to the online video Upright Tea holds upright upright posture and text in PDF format for independent implementation of the contents of the workshop at home or in the learning process.

The main star of the science show is the humanoid robot Nao, named Teo. It is cute and attractive to children, so it is very successful in keeping their attention when they learn about the upright posture, its principle and meaning. He explores with the children how important it is for them to be upright so that they don't look like overcooked macaroni, without energy and with learning difficulties. His friends, the robot Robolina and the robot Flisko, also take part in the show, and we try to help them to get into the correct upright position, just like Teo and us - humans. Robotek Teo encourages children to think, anticipate and search for answers to many questions: what importance do strong, flexible and mobile muscles, bones, joints and gravitational forces have when placing them in an upright position? Children practice how to train the anti-gravity muscles by moving like animals in a good upright position with Theo, dancing the disco and ducks, and trying the movement skill of tai chi. Together with Theo, they put themselves in the correct upright position with the help of a weight pad. Teo also invites children to participate in the Sustainable Techno Workshops in the Celje Techno Park, which take place every Saturday from 11:15 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. In these workshops, children, under the guidance of a guide, make weight pads from used textiles, which they can take home.

The common goal of an interactive workshop and a scientific performance

In the modern lifestyle, we spend most of our waking hours inactive, sitting, under forced repetitive movements, under psychologically stressful pressures. All this is a far cry from the biological adaptations of early man. The direct consequence of all this is incorrect posture, which disrupts the balance between body parts and causes poor ventilation of the lungs. This directly leads to fatigue, irritability, poorer concentration, a decline in mental abilities, poorer self-esteem, lower motivation, increased susceptibility to various forms of addiction, pain, injuries, greater potential for disease development, causes a drop in productivity, more sick leave from work, etc. Therefore, health management is one of the biggest challenges for every individual and employers. Maintaining correct body posture with conscious control should be our way of life, our daily task from childhood, just as daily brushing of teeth is something taken for granted. Learned forced incorrect postures are "programmed" as movement patterns in our brain and transferred to a later period. That is why there is never too much knowledge about upright body posture and the ability to feel and observe it.
